Existence and Uniqueness
Philosophy from the Perspective of an Aerospace Autonomous Flight Vehicles Engineer
I am an Aerospace Engineering Ph. D who works in the field of controls engineering for autonomous flight vehicles. I am also a deeply philosophical person, and decided to create this website to share some of my philosophical thoughts. There are two main subject areas that I plan to write about:
1) My Field of Expertise: Control Engineering.
The field of controls engineering, especially along the front of machine learning and AI algorithms, actually offers humans great philosophies by which to live life and make decisions! I intend to populate this site (eventually) with some of the philosophical lessons that I have learnt from my field.
2) Advaita Vedanta
I am also a keen student of Advaita Vedanta, which is a timeless spiritual philosophy describing the nature of reality. I believe that Vedanta postulates the truth. Experimental outcomes from recent particle physics experiments defy conventional logic, forcing us to reformulate our theories regarding the phenomenal universe. Some of these reformulations, such as the Relativistic Transactional Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics (RTI) and the Causal Set Approach to Quantum Gravity, provide mathematical structures that parallel the Vedantic notion of “Maya”. Although these theories draw the line at phenomenology, careful study of the formulation indicates that their function is dependent on an all pervading witness/existence principle, implying the Vedantic notion of “Brahman”. On this subject, I have written a book, which explores the connection between the theories emerging from Western Science and the timeless postulates of Vedanta. You can access the latest version of this book for free:
